Our Story

Established in 1959, SunVista has been a favorite for over 50 years. Today, SunVista’s line up of over 20 products includes pinto, black, red kidney, garbanzo, white, chili, flavored beans, refried beans and enchilada sauces. Products are offered in many sizes to suit your needs and are also available with no salt and no fat.

SunVista is best known for its pinto beans, made using a traditional recipe with just a hint of garlic. This tried and true recipe has made them the number one canned pinto bean in the Southwest. Building on the success of the original, SunVista also offers Pintos with Jalapeños and Pintos with Chipotle Peppers. 

SunVista refried beans are made from an authentic recipe using garlic, onion and cumin. They are also made in a spicy flavor using jalapeño pepper and chili pepper. Our refried beans are available in several can sizes and 16oz pouches, so they are ready to heat and serve in minutes.

SunVista green enchilada sauce is made with tomatillos from the state of Sinaloa in Mexico. Our tomatillos come from the towns of Guasave and Los Mochis. Tomatillo harvest happens from December to the end of February. The tomatillos are harvested and processed the same day to guarantee freshness and quality in every can of enchilada sauce.
